About Paul Klemperer

Based in Austin, Texas, saxophonist Paul Klemperer plays an eclectic mix of jazz, blues, American popular music and world music. As a performer and bandleader he tours nationally and internationally. Paul’s varied musical experience began in Boston, MA, where he studied with such jazz greats as Ray Copeland, Archie Shepp and Max Roach. Moving to Texas in 1982, Paul became a fixture in the Austin jazz and blues circuit, touring with renowned artists like Marcia Ball and Malford Milligan, and has opened for world-class artists such as BB King, The Neville Brothers, Ray Charles, Larry Carlton, and James Brown.
