Cienfuegos is a band from Austin, TX that plays an array of Latin genres, specializing in traditional Cuban son, bolero, and cha-cha. The band was formed in 2004 by Daniel Nelson (vocals/guitar) and George Shalda (vocals/trumpet/tres Cubano) and has been performing steadily in Austin and beyond ever since.

Other members of the band include Angelo Lembesis (piano), Samuel Lopez (percussion), Omar Diaz (percussion/vocals), Leo Gauna (trombone), and Joshua Lowe (bass).

This will be the third time Cienfuegos has been invited to play for the Austin Jazz Society and they look forward to bringing their infectious grooves and positive energy back to Chez Zee!
